COVID Vaccines: No Silver Bullet

We need to stop using the phrase “When things get back to normal” in regards to COVID. Only one infectious disease has ever been eradicated in history and it took 200 years (Smallpox). The last pandemic of this proportion was the progenitor of all Type A Influenza that we still deal with through a yearly vaccine. It’s very likely many of these societal changes will remain permanent even with a vaccine.
